Don’t get me wrong, it didn’t matter Hillary Clinton was a woman running as President against Donald Trump, what I see that there are very few champions left in the Democrat Party. Now that we do have a Republican president, #Donald Trump, I only see two prominent Democrats, Senator Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren. Senator Sanders keep reminding us that we must be prepare for the down falls on our health care, and for seniors like myself, my medicare and social security. It doesn’t look good, the republicans most likely are stalling and probably ready to send in the National Guard to our nursing homes when President Trump and Congress announce the mandatory ten-per cent decrease on our social security, and a five to ten per cent increase on our Medicare premiums. I hope not.
However what I witnessed this week of the silencing of Senator #Elizabeth Warren(Democrat-Massachuesttes), was disgraceful on the behalf of #Senator Mitch McConnell(Republican-Kentucky), Senator McConnell stopped Senator Warren from reading a letter from #Coretta Scott King(Wife of Martin Luther King), citing a so call rule”19″, that she could not talk negatively about her fellow senators, sorry but this is why we have a two party political system in our country, and yet SenatorJeff Merkely(Democrat-from Oregon), Senator Tom Udall(Democrat-New Mexico), Senator Sherrod Brown(Democrat-Ohio), and Senator Bernie Sanders(Independent from Vermont) all read the same letter from Coretta Scott king on the Senate floor and received no rebuke,
Whats so disturbing about what is happening now in our country that we have an administration that thinks it can operate outside the parameters of the Constitution, ban entry into the country because of their religious beliefs, and keeping an elected official, Senator Elizabeth Warren her right of expressing “Freedom of Speech” is ludicrous.
What is so sad that we are not hearing from our past elected officials, the likes of Hillary Clinton and President Obama. If this keeps up, maybe we should have another Constitutional convention, and this time make sure that the amendments are tattooed on the bodies of our beloved elected House of Representatives and United States Senators.
I doubt this wink ever happen, we just don’t have that much ink to go around. Oh well, only an idea.
